AKFS Delivers Bespoke Plant & Go® Vehicle to Local Council for Grounds Maintenance

<p>We’ve recently completed the handover of a bespoke <a href="<https://www.advanced-kfs.co.uk/vehicle/plant-and-go/>"><strong>Plant &amp; Go® </strong></a>vehicle, which we specifically designed for a local council’s grounds maintenance team.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The handover of this <strong>vehicle conversion </strong>marks the end of a process that began with an initial enquiry to AKFS in July 2023. After months of planning and coordination, the order was finalised in March 2024, meeting the council’s <strong>precise and unique </strong>specifications.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The vehicle, tailored specially for the council’s needs, has <strong>4-way cameras </strong>for improved visibility and a f<strong>ull onboard weight indication system </strong>for safety and compliance. The vehicle boasts a kerb weight of just <strong>2203kg, </strong>remaining lightweight and versatile for usage by the grounds maintenance team. It also includes a <strong>tool locker </strong>necessary for <strong>secure storage, </strong>a <strong>winch </strong>for easy loading and <strong>removable mesh sides.</strong></p>

<p>Due to the <strong>low floor </strong>of this vehicle, the grounds maintenance team will be able to easily and safely load their ride on mowers onto the vehicle during the summer months, removing the need for trailers. Similarly, in the winter months, the <strong>removable mesh sides </strong>mean that the team can easily load the vehicle with <strong>hedge cuttings and other debris.&nbsp;</strong></p>

<p>Upon handover of the vehicle, we provided extensive on-site training, ensuring that the council’s transport manager and his team could start putting their new vehicle to use. </p>
